The MTV Sales Training Kit was intended for cable affiliates’ personnel who speak or work with viewer-customers. For these typically young (18-24 yrs) and relatively unsophisticated trainees, information about eight different channels had to be communicated clearly and simply but presented in an irresistible package. We established no-nonsense typography to ensure access and readability, and used edgy graphics and a frosted metallic film canister to signify entertainment.
